Diva Taunia is an award-winning professional vocalist, radio host, musical director, choreographer, and music educator. Heralded by jazz greats Herb Pomeroy and Terence Blanchard as a “powerful vocalist with a warm, rich sound,” she just recently relocated to the Los Angeles, CA area after performing for more than twenty years in the Boston music scene.  Taunia is a trumpet player, vocalist, and also plays piano.

 

She has performed with Wayne Brady, The Persuasions, Rockapella, and and many other notable musicians and industry professionals. She’s been featured in SHAPE Magazine, NH Chronicle Television, The Boston Globe, on ABC’s “The Revolution” with Tim Gunn, as the featured vocalist on the popular PC game "Titan Quest," and on various radio programs,showcased around the globe.

 

Taunia is also been an active music educator with over twenty-five years teaching experience in both the public and private sector. She has worked and performed with an educational rap company called Rhythm, Rhyme, Results based out of Cambridge, MA and has also taught both voice and piano in the public schools and in the private sector at schools like The Real School of Music, North Main Music, and both the Massachusetts and California public school systems. She currently teaches music in the middle schools in Southern California and performs with various concert and wind bands, and numerous big bands in the area. She is also writing her first in a series of publications for working vocalists as well as a video subscription vocal series.
